A month ago I had the opportunity to shoot a wonderful wedding right here in Perry Hall, Maryland. The ceremony took place at St Joseph’s Church ( a beautiful church) and the reception was held at the Hilton in White Marsh. The bride and groom were the perfect couple a photographer could ask for. I had a great time working with Scott Henderson, second photographer, (thanks for all your help Scott) videography by Nice Guy Productions, and hair & makeup by Belle Soeur. Thank you again Angela and Mike!
Sneak Peak ! Michael and Angela | Wedding
It was a lovely Saturday afternoon after the heavy downpour from Storm Lee that lasted almost a week. It was almost as if Lee decided to stop hiding the sky so that two beautiful people, Michael and Angela, could have their special day with warm sunshine and a little less stress.
Here’s a shot to make you want to come back and see more when I get done processing them.
Congratulations Angela & Mike! See you when you get back !

Star Gazer Lilies
The Chenda | home portraits
One of my good friends from India sent my boys a really nice toy instrument…Chenda (an Indian drum). It was really meant for Ben but Liam took an interest to it and found himself captivated by this cool looking thing. The evening sunshine was streaming through our windows and I decided not to move Liam but to just try to get some pictures of him playing with it. Benjamin wanted to pose for my camera and I told him to sit next to Liam. After that are the photos you see at the bottom of the storyboard.
-To Johny: Thank you so much for the lovely Chenda. As you can see my boys love it. I hope this post will make you smile too.
Children’s pool party | fun photographer!
Kids had a blast playing in the pool on July 4th. It was Ben’s first true pool fun. Izzy started the splashing and they all joined in. Little Kylie was constantly excited and joyful despite a few falls. The adults had a great time watching the little ones enjoying themselves and I was just happy to get a bunch of fun and cool shots.
MY NEW MONITOR
I am so excited!! I got my new official Professional monitor! I am still waiting on my new computer to arrive too but I had to share this. I have bought computers in the past but never put so much energy into researching a monitor until now. It cost me a lot of sleep and caused me headaches to figure out what I needed for my editing that would be budget friendly. Honestly I couldn’t find anything that would provide me with quality color management unless I surpassed the $500 mark. So here it is. I settled on an NEC monitor.
This is what sold me> Reliable company, expensive but got a decent deal from B&H photo , 14 bit color, compatible with EyeOne Display2 calibration, raving reviews and recommendations from Photo.net.
The WOW factor== 24″ is HUGE! My old monitor which I thought was a large size -21″ looks so small now.
I had Steven open it up for me as I just watched the monitor unravel and smiled with joy.
Little boy Ben and his little car
I took some pictures of Ben playing with his little car around my Curry Plant. He loved to show his car for my camera and we got some nice pics. I really like how the story boards and processing turned out. However I used the action “Sweet Honey” from Pretty Presets to start my editing from lightroom. My storyboards are not perfect. Nonetheless they are inspired by the ever popular MCP Actions storyboards.
I really am impressed how the use of the wide aperture in these pics turned out. I think I can fall in love with the famous ‘creamy bokeh’.
Now that Liam is bigger, I find more time to play with my camera and get back into rhythm. If he keeps sleeping well through the night, then I get more time to play with editing as well. Whoohoo!
Stay tuned, I have a similar post for Liam coming up and he’s playing with an Indian drum. It’s called ‘The Chenda’.

Free Story Board Actions | July 4th giveaway
** UPDATE** 9/2011
After sending out different panel actions depending on each request, I have found it easier for me to just send you all the panel actions together. That way you don’t have to choose a certain one and you can try all of them. Unless mentioned otherwise these actions are available anytime. Just contact me.
*************
As you can see, for the past several weeks I have been playing with Blog Board/ Panels. Trying to learn how to make them and getting creative as well.
If you like any of my blog boards/panels just contact me and I will email you the Board action requested. The actions are created with Photoshop CS4 so I do not know if they will work with Photoshop Elements. The reason why I do not have them for download on this blog is because I do not know how to make them available without paying someone to host them.
You must have some familiarity with using actions. Directions on how to download and install them are all over the web. So I have not taken the time to type it out here. However if you have any questions I will be glad to help you understand how to use them and manipulate them to your taste.
So if you are interested just contact me with the subject title “Request for Free Blog Ps Action” and indicate the name of the blog board you are interested in.
Example:
Subject: Request for Free Blog Ps Action
Body: 1 main 4 subs. Thanks!
OR
Baked ziti post.
If you have any ideas on how to make files downloadable directly from my blog let me know. Remember I have the free WordPress blog version and not WordPress 3.1.3 version . Would love to learn how to do that too!
